Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will manage complex tax functions, including preparation and review of various tax returns, research into tax regulations, and strategic tax planning for the organization and its affiliates. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review federal income tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations.
• Manage state and local income and franchise tax filings, including composite tax returns.
• Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning to identify tax-saving opportunities for the company.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tangible personal property tax returns, sales and use tax filings, and local business licenses.
• Support state and federal tax audits by preparing responses to tax notices and documentation requests.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and maintain accurate tax records.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• CPA certification is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, ideally within a public accounting firm.
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations, compliance procedures, and tax filings.
• Proficiency in tax software such as Onesource and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet strict deadlines.
