Position: Technical Support Specialist – Level 2
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office), 1st Shift
Direct/Permanent Hire
Robert Half is seeking a Technical Services Specialist (L2) for our client in the Pewaukee area to assist customers with the installation, troubleshooting, and operation of telecommunications and hardware products. This role requires experience supporting voice communication systems and providing technical assistance both before and after product delivery. The position is part of a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining product reliability and ensuring consistent service.
Responsibilities
+ Provide technical support by phone and email, assisting users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
+ Support telecommunications systems, including analog, VoIP, and cellular technologies
+ Resolve technical issues quickly and professionally to reduce customer downtime
+ Document support activity and resolution details in a ticketing or CRM system
+ Collaborate with internal departments to share customer feedback and contribute to product enhancements
+ Assist in hardware and software provisioning, programming, and activation
+ Perform routine product testing and minor repairs under the direction of senior staff
+ Update technical documentation and training materials for internal and customer use
+ Support the broader team with overflow or escalated tasks when necessary
Requirements
Requirements:
+ Minimum of 5 years in a technical support or customer service capacity
+ Working knowledge of communication systems such as IP networking, analog lines, and cellular-based services
+ Experience with CRM and helpdesk platforms
+ Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Organized and detail-oriented approach to problem solving
+ Technical training or certifications preferred
+ Bilingual skills are a plus
Preferred:
+ Familiarity with telecom, low-voltage systems, or product field support
+ Comfortable with hands-on product testing and updates
+ Experience contributing to internal process improvement or product documentation
