Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to lead our client's accounting operations and manage a high-performing team. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions, with a strong emphasis on leveraging QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, technical accounting expertise, and process improvement skills to support the company’s financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
+ Oversee all general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations within QuickBooks.
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
+ Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
+ Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
+ Train and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
+ CPA designation is a plus.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
+ Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) is required.
+ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
+ Spanish or Portuguese proficiency.
+ Supervisory experience.
+ Familiarity with additional accounting or ERP systems.
+ Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
