    Job Overview

     

    The Quality Control Technician / Specialist supports the quality function by performing inspections, monitoring production processes, maintaining documentation, and assisting in resolving quality issues. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 standards and supports continuous improvement initiatives

     

    A Day In The Life

    + Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality.

    + Track and document quality-related activities across projects and report findings to the Quality Manager.

    + Assist in investigating customer complaints and documenting findings.

    + Manage customer complaints through their lifecycle, including communication through customer portals.

    + Collaborate with departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and met.

    + Support calibration of measurement equipment to ensure accuracy.

    + Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for ISO 9001 compliance.

    + Conduct basic root cause analysis and assist in corrective actions.

    + Facilitate and monitor corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.

    + Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

    + Collect and analyze basic quality data to support reporting and improvement efforts.

    + Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality processes.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    What will help you thrive in this role?

     

    + Education: Associate’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

    + Experience: 2–4 years in a manufacturing environment.

    + Skills: Basic understanding of quality tools and terminology (e.g., SPC, AQL sampling).

    + Familiarity with inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparator).

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

    + Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

    + Certifications: Internal auditing experience is a plus.

    + Travel: Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).
