    Position Summary:

    Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.

     

    The purpose of the Omnicare Clinical Intervention Center (CIC) pharmacy staff is to provide 24x7 remote support services to long term care dispensing pharmacies nationwide. The CIC is staffed with both clinically trained pharmacists and technical support personnel.

     

    As a pharmacist for our Clinical Intervention Center, you will conduct comprehensive and accurate medication order reviews, clinical interventions, and documentation of all actions in accordance with policies and procedures. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an exciting, dynamic, and fast paced environment that has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate medication reaches the customer both efficiently and safely.

    You will:

    + Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy

    + Ensure medication orders are clinically appropriate

    + Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities

    + Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill orders.

    + Be knowledgeable of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing.

    + Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business

    + Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.

    + Other duties as assigned.

     

    This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.

     

    This is a full time, benefit eligible position.     This is an onsite full-time position offering 40 hours per week spanning both day and evening shifts. There is no on-call requirement for this position.

    Required Qualifications

    You will need:

    + Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred

    + Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing in your state of residence

    + Ability and willingness to become licensed in additional States as needed

    + Flexible schedule with the ability to work onsite evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs on an as-scheduled basis

    + Proficient in the area of clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions and allergies

    + Good organizational and time-management skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Long Term Care pharmacy experience

    + Current license to practice pharmacy in multiple states

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $50.48 - $84.62

     

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
