Senior Systems Administrator
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial for managing, maintaining, and evolving our core technology infrastructure. This role will be responsible for the administration of our physical and virtual server environments, SQL databases, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Entra ID. This role will also lead the execution of migrating our on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, driving Aldridge’s cloud-first strategy.
What you’ll do:
+ INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT
+ Manage and maintain the on-premise infrastructure (Nutanix).
+ Oversee server hardware, storage, and virtualization platforms to ensure optimal performance.
+ Plan for capacity, and execute infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle management.
+ SERVER & DIRECTORY SERVICES
+ Manage, secure, and maintain on-premise Windows Servers.
+ Administer Active Directory, including user/group management, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
+ DATABASE ADMINISTRATION
+ Administer on-premise Microsoft SQL Server environments.
+ Manage and maintain cloud-based MSSQL instances hosted in Google Cloud Platform.
+ CLOUD SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
+ Serve as the administrator for our Google Workspace environment, overseeing user accounts, security policies, and core applications.
+ Manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), focusing on identity and access management and SSO integrations.
+ AZURE INFRASTRUCTURE MIGRATION
+ Lead the strategic planning and hands-on execution of migrating on-premise workloads to Azure Virtual Machines.
+ Configure and manage Azure networking, storage, and security resources to support the migrated infrastructure.
+ SYSTEM MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT
+ Monitor system health, performance, and security to ensure high availability and reliability.
+ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Who you are:
+ 3+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems administration
+ Strong, hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory Domain Services
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, both on-premise and in a cloud environment
+ Proven administrative experience with Google Workspace
+ Proficient in managing Microsoft Entra ID
+ Direct experience executing a migration from on-premise servers to Microsoft Azure preferred
+ Strong understanding of virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure, scripting languages, and networking fundamentals preferred

What we offer:
The annual base pay for this role is between $90.000 to $120,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions.
