Posting Summary
Conduct integrated research and related comprehensive educational programs in the areas of agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation and soil health. Plan, implement, and manage research projects and programs that inform the local farming community, agency personnel, and the scientific community in the areas of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions and soil health.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, agriculture, conservation science or related field and three to five years’ related work experience required; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in applied field-based environmental and/or agricultural research including an understanding of experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, and management and operation of scientific field instrumentation. Effective interpersonal and communication skills required to work with researchers, farmers and the general public. Writing skills and proficiency in the use of computers and other electronic technologies required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience coordinating with government agencies, business, researchers, and landowners preferred.
Anticipated Pay Range $50,000 to $55,000

Non-standard work hours may be required.
Special Conditions External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Travel to and from worksites required, Background Check required for this position
