Compensation:
+ Transit Railcar Technology Specialist 1 - $76,279.00- $99,528.00
+ Transit Railcar Technology Specialist 2 - $90,551.00 - $113,999.00
+ Transit Railcar Technology Specialist 3 - $107,655.00 – $130,058.00
+ Transit Railcar Technology Specialist 4 - $120,427.00 – $141,970.00
Responsibilities:
The positions will support various R211 programs (R211A, R211T and R211S) and provide the following QA&NCW services: provide warranty administration for shop support and to ensure that the car builders comply with contractual obligations including MDBF, MDBSCF and fleet defect requirements; oversee field modifications and spare parts program; enroll cars onto both RSMIS and Hexagon EAM databases as QA&NCW migrates from one program to the other; and manage car configuration and serialized data for the different types of R211 cars.
Education and Experience:
+ A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, plus:
+ Two years of full- time satisfactory experience performing one of the following:
+ Reviewing moderately complex design or maintenance manuals or documents of railcars, automobiles, trucks, buses, marine vessels, aircraft or other industrial equipment; or
+ Preparing plans and technical specifications for railcars or other vehicles and equipment described in a(i); or
+ Inspecting, performing, or supervising quality control reviews of the work described in a(i) and a(ii); and
+ Three years of full-time satisfactory experience performing one or a combination of the following:
+ Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting of railcar or other vehicles and equipment described in a(i); or
+ Supervising or performing the installation of railcar or other vehicles or equipment described in a(i); or
+ A four-year vocational/technical high school diploma with a major sequence of courses in electrical, mechanical, or electronic technology, or a closely related field, plus two years of full-time satisfactory experience described in "1 (a)" above and two years of the full-time satisfactory experience described in "1 (b)" above; or
+ An associate degree from an accredited college with a major sequence of courses in electrical, mechanical, civil, transportation, aerospace or computer engineering, electrical/electronic technology, computers science, cyber security or related degree, plus two years of the full-time satisfactory experience described in "1 (a)" above, and one year of the full-time satisfactory experience described in "1 (b)" above; or
+ A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college with a major sequence of courses as described in "3" above, plus two years of the full-time satisfactory experience described in "1 (a) or 1 (b)” above; or
+ A master's degree from an accredited college in one of the major fields described in "3" above, plus one year of the full-time satisfactory experience described in ""1 (a) or 1 (b)” above.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
