    Release Manager

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end software release lifecycle within our retail technology environment. This role ensures timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery of software solutions by coordinating across development, QA, operations, and business teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and manage the release lifecycle from development through deployment.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and create comprehensive solution release notes.

    • Ensure transparent defect tracking across cross-functional teams to improve visibility and accountability.

    • Drive blameless retrospectives and root cause analysis (RCA) to enable sustained high quality improvements.

    • Coordinate release schedules, resources, and dependencies across teams.

    • Ensure alignment with Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices.

    • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely and quality releases.

    • Lead Go-Live activities and post-release reviews.

    • Maintain documentation and improve release and configuration management processes.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and communication.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

    • Experience in project management and Agile/DevOps environments.

    • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycle.

    • Familiarity with release automation tools (e.g., ElectricFlow, Puppet, Buildmaster).

    • Excellent coordination, communication, and team leadership skills.
