    Overview

     

    Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Supervisor

    Job Summary:

    WW Clyde is seeking a skilled and safety-focusedMOT Supervisorto manage and oversee all aspects of temporary traffic control on heavy civil construction projects. The MOT Supervisor will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining safe and efficient traffic control setups that comply with project specifications, state DOT regulations, and company standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop, implement, and monitorMaintenance of Traffic (MOT) plansin coordination with project management and engineering teams.

    + Ensure all traffic control operations arecompliant with MUTCD, state DOT guidelines (e.g., UDOT), and local agency requirements.

    + Coordinate withsuperintendents, subcontractors, and flaggersto manage lane closures, detours, signage, and safety devices.

    + Inspect traffic control setups daily and adjust as needed to ensurepublic and worker safety.

    + Conductsafety briefingsrelated to traffic control and provide ongoing training to flaggers and field crews.

    + Maintain accurate records oflane closure notifications, permits, traffic incidents, and inspection reports.

    + Serve as thepoint of contactwith public agencies regarding MOT issues, lane closures, and permitting.

    + Lead efforts tominimize disruptionto traffic flow and maintain public relations in affected areas.

    + Monitor and manageMOT equipment and signageinventory on-site.

    Qualifications:

    + 3+ years of experience in traffic control or heavy civil construction; supervisory experience preferred.

    + ValidMOT Supervisor Certification(e.g., ATSSA or state-specific).

    + Strong understanding ofMUTCD guidelines, UDOT specifications, and temporary traffic control standards.

    + Ability to read and interpretengineering drawings and MOT plans.

    + Excellentcommunication and leadershipskills.

    + Ability to work inoutdoor conditionsand adapt to changing project needs.

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + OSHA 10 or 30 Certification

    + Experience withlarge-scale DOT projects

    + Bilingual in Spanish and English (a plus)
