Job Purpose
Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) is a global leader in high-performance thermoplastic stock shapes, providing innovative material solutions to industries such as aerospace, construction and heavy equipment, semiconductor, food and beverage, and conveying systems. Our Engineered Shapes and Solutions division is focused on solving complex engineering challenges with advanced plastics, technical expertise, and a customer-first approach.
Principal Accountabilities
• Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams, OEMs, and distributors
• Provide guidance on material selection, application suitability, machining best practices, and chemical resistance
• Manage incoming technical leads and inquiries, vetting opportunities for further development
• Collaborate with Mitsubishi’s sales teams and distributor partners to support and grow customer relationships
• Proactively research and build a target list of OEMs to support business development
• Support training sessions, technical presentations, and customer discussions as needed
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and contribute to technical documentation
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
• Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: plastic stock shape manufacturing, machining, quality, or technical service support
• Understanding of engineering plastics and their applications (UHMW, PA, PPS, PEEK, PAI, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
• CRM experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%)

+ **The salary range for this position is $75,600 - $94,500. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.**
