**VCA Petcare West Animal Hospital** is seeking a full-time and a part-time **Veterinary Assistant** to join our exceptional team!

**Compensation:** $ 19 - $ 23 hr

**Schedule:** FT 4/10's with rotating Saturdays; PT days 8 hr shifts with rotating Saturdays

**Location:** 1370 Fulton Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401

What You'll Do:

As a member of **VCA Petcare West Animal Hospital,** you will support the team by fostering a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to:

+ Assistveterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures

+ Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration)

+ Restrain animals safely and compassionately

+ Prepare and clean exam rooms

+ Assistwith radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics

+ Maintainaccuratemedical records and support charting

+ Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits

+ Support surgery prep and recovery as needed

+ Helpmaintaina clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years experience in a veterinary setting as a Veterinary Assistant

+ Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

+ High school diploma or equivalent required
