Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Utility Technician Senior - Water Distribution. The Utility Technician Senior - Water Distribution reports to the Water Distribution Utility Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include:

+ Performs installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution system.

+ Operate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools used in department projects.

+ Perform technical duties locating underground water assets in public streets, alleys, utility easements, and right-of-way using GIS maps.

+ Responsible for completing vehicle inspection forms and daily work logs.

+ Operate heavy equipment, including excavation equipment, backhoe, and vac truck.

+ Subject to emergency call-out and must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on stand-by as required.

+ Operate the water distribution system.

+ Call out on Water Distribution Departments for emergency system repairs.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

About You

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in water distribution and related equipment.

+ 3-5 years of experience in operating heavy equipment, construction methods, and practices related to underground utilities.

+ 2 years of supervisory experience or Crew Leader experience.

+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

+ Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement at the time of hire.

+ Grade II Water Distribution Certification (ADEQ) at the time of hire.
