    Work hours: Full-Time, Evenings, 40 hours, Rotating weekly schedule, Rotating weekends.

    Here’s What You Need

    + H.S. Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

    + 6 months of related experience required.

    + 1 year of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience in a Lead role preferred

    + Good verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working. independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments. Able to work around housekeeping chemicals. Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

    What You Will Do

    + Empty, clean and reline trash containers. Properly dispose of all waste including biohazardous materials. High dust surfaces above shoulder height. Sanitize and spot clean. Clean restrooms, restocking dispensers. Dust hard surface floors/vacuum carpets. Sanitize floors/carpets. Ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.

    + Additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer to include removal of clinical support equipment and supplies as well as soiled linen. Specialized cleaning and support for patient isolations. Terminal cleaning of operating, emergency, labor and delivery, ICU and/or special procedures rooms as well as associated specialized furniture and equipment.

    + Assist supervisor with training new hires and in-service training with staff. Perform patient interviews on incoming and discharging patients to inform them of the expectations from the EVS department. Follows-up on complaints and concerns made by patients, family members and staff. Performs duties of supervisor in their absence.

    + Adhere to the Patient Safety Goals. Responds to emergency situations appropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness codes. Recognizes safety hazards; acts to protect patients, self and others. Performs other related duties as assigned.
