Actalent is Hiring a Cell Processing Specialist!!Job Description

The Mammalian Cell Processing Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and detailed processing of mammalian cells. This position requires specialized training and the ability to work in GMP grade conditions, utilizing both manual and automated processing techniques. A strong knowledge of cell culture and flow cytometry is essential, along with the ability to document processes in adherence with GMP/GDP guidelines.

Responsibilities

+ Adhere to GMP guidelines in a cleanroom (ISO7) environment.

+ Perform flow cytometry to assess cell viability and count.

+ Isolate HSCs, NK, and T-cells.

+ Conduct calculations during processing to assess product yields.

+ Utilize aseptic techniques while performing cell processing procedures.

+ Investigate and resolve problems with procedures or processes.

+ Perform validation processes on new instruments and equipment.

+ Conduct sterility and environmental monitoring testing with QC specialists.

+ Collaborate closely with QC specialists and the QA department.

+ Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, comprehensive, and maintained.

+ Collect and label required laboratory samples, maintaining accurate and complete result reports, processing worksheets, and cryopreservation records.

+ Perform quality control and preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment, maintaining complete and accurate records.

+ Practice proper safety techniques and report any unsafe conditions.

+ Other duties and procedures as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in cell culture, cell therapy, and flow cytometry.

+ Expertise in mammalian cell culture and GMP practices.

+ Strong background in cell biology and cell isolation.

+ Experience with HEK, CHO, and MSC cell lines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in cGMP requirements is highly preferred.

+ Proficiency in flow cytometry assays and interpretations (Cytoflex preferred).

+ Knowledge of sterile techniques is required.

+ Experience with the use of liquid nitrogen for cryogenic environments.

+ Experience with microbiological testing is preferred.

+ Familiarity with CliniMACS Prodigy is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is an ISO 7 cleanroom, requiring adherence to GMP standards and practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr.
