Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to join our team in or near Indianapolis. As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a key role in delivering successful commercial and educational building projects. These projects include water treatment facilities, school projects, car washes, and major rebranding initiatives like Lifetime Fitness. Our team is self-performing in areas such as demolition, concrete & masonry, rough carpentry, and doors. There is also a national traveling aspect to our business, constructing pre-engineered metal buildings for large industrial projects. A willingness to travel to cover work during team members' absences is a desirable trait for candidates.

Responsibilities

+ Create the construction schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.

+ Oversee site safety to ensure compliance with regulations.

+ Create, maintain, and review all project documentation.

+ Ensure project oversight and quality control are maintained.

+ Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and owners.

+ Manage project materials efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 10 years in commercial construction.

+ At least 5 years as a Lead Superintendent on ground-up projects.

+ Experience with projects valued at $10 million or more.

+ Proficiency with construction software such as Procore.

+ Located in or around Indianapolis, IN.

+ Experience in client-facing roles and effective communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Degree in Construction Management is a plus.

+ Masonry background

+ Experience in K-12 construction projects.

+ Water and wastewater project experience.

+ Willingness to travel nationwide for up to 2 weeks at a time.

Work Environment

The role requires on-site presence, working 40-50 hours per week depending on the season and weather. During busy periods, you may work five 10-hour days. You will receive a 25% salary increase and per diem while traveling, with additional benefits such as a monthly phone reimbursement, vehicle allowance, and provided equipment like laptops or tablets. The position offers job security, a supportive understanding of family time needs, and opportunities to learn from a retiring Lead Superintendent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
