We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead multifamily residential construction projects from start to finish. You will be working on luxury apartment complexes in suburban markets, beginning with a 320-unit project in Knoxville, TN. Your role will involve overseeing junior staff, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project delivery within budget and timeline.
Responsibilities
+ Lead multifamily residential construction projects from inception to completion.
+ Mentor and support junior staff including Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
+ Manage subcontractors and resolve construction issues.
+ Oversee construction budgets and participate in pre-construction activities.
+ Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
+ Travel to job sites monthly for project oversight and meetings.
+ Collaborate with developers and internal teams on project execution.
Essential Skills
+ 5 – 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager in ground-up multifamily construction.
+ Recent experience in multifamily projects (near 150–250 units preferred).
+ Full lifecycle project management experience (start to finish and ground up).
+ Team-oriented mindset with a passion for mentoring junior staff.
+ Experience with construction budgeting and subcontractor management.
+ Willingness to travel monthly for site visits and meetings.
+ Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday.
+ Background check clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Procore and Microsoft Project (preferred).
+ Experience in senior living construction.
+ Degree in Construction Management.
+ Safety certifications or field experience.
+ Mixed-use or Podium construction experience.
+ OSHA 30 certification.
Work Environment
The role is primarily in-office with flexible hours, typically 40–45 hours per week. Monthly travel for site visits is expected, with expenses covered including lodging, meals, and transportation. The company provides a credit card and travel booking support for these trips. You will have opportunities to participate in company events such as groundbreakings and team outings, and the potential for promotion to a Project Executive role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
