Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description
The position involves working with Medicare and Medicaid patients, primarily focusing on Medicare, and managing prior authorizations. The role will initially involve handling the intake of prior authorizations, setting them up in the system, and forwarding them to a review technician. Training for the review process may be provided.
Responsibilities
+ Handle intake of prior authorizations for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
+ Set up prior authorizations in the system.
+ Forward prior authorizations to review technicians.
+ Provide exceptional customer service over the phone.
+ Manage and control conversations effectively, redirecting as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician certification.
+ Experience in managed care and pharmacy settings.
+ Proficiency in data entry and computer skills.
+ Ability to work independently and remotely.
+ Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with appeals and claims.
+ Knowledge of prior authorization processes.
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Work Environment
The position is 100% remote, requiring work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions to maintain HIPAA compliance. A strong WiFi connection is necessary for remote work. Work includes rotating holidays with other team members, and lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
