Job Title: Software Engineer – Real-Time Embedded Systems

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance

Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ years)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in real-time C/C++ embedded software development and demonstrated technical leadership. This role involves the development, integration, and maintenance of real-time embedded applications for advanced defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software applications in C/C++.

+ Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

+ Work on applications involving image processing, target detection and tracking, missile guidance/navigation/control, system control, built-in test, and system communication.

+ Develop software for Linux-based systems running on multi-core or MicroBlaze real-time processors.

+ Interface with hardware using communication protocols such as UART, Ethernet, DDS, and PCIe.

+ Apply object-oriented programming principles to embedded systems development.

+ Utilize software configuration management tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or equivalent.

+ Support containerized development and deployment environments and contribute to DevSecOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing.

Required Qualifications:

+ Active Secret Clearance (please include investigation date on resume).

+ Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development.

+ Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time systems.

+ Hands-on experience with Ada programming.

+ Familiarity with software/firmware interfaces and embedded communication protocols.

+ Experience with version control and configuration management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker).

+ Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools.

+ Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $98.99/hr.
