    Job Title: Distribution Designer

    Job Description

    + As a Distribution Designer, you will be responsible for designing and laying out electrical distribution systems for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial.

    + You will create detailed CAD drawings and electrical schematics, perform load calculations, and assess system capacity.

    + Your role will involve conducting field surveys to gather data and verify site conditions, ensuring designs comply with local, state, and federal codes, and collaborating with engineers, contractors, and utility companies.

    + You will also review and approve shop drawings and connection diagrams.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and layout electrical distribution systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

    + Create detailed CAD drawings and electrical schematics.

    + Perform load calculations and assess system capacity.

    + Conduct field surveys to gather data and verify site conditions.

    + Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal codes.

    + Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and utility companies.

    + Review and approve shop drawings and connection diagrams.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical distribution design and layout.

    + Experience with CAD software for creating detailed drawings.

    + Ability to perform load calculations and assess system capacity.

    + Field data collection and survey skills.

    + Understanding of local, state, and federal electrical codes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6+ months of experience within utility design.

    + Experience working in the field to collect data.

    + Minimum of a high school diploma.

    + Knowledge in power distribution.

    Work Environment

    + This position offers a remote work environment with field visit requirements approximately 20% of the time.

    + You will collaborate with engineers and designers both locally and remotely.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $44.00/hr.
