• CAD Drafter

    Actalent (Bedford Park, IL)


    Responsibilities

    + Generate layout drawings from customer-supplied CAD files, plans, and sketches.

    + Produce accurate bills of material based on drawings.

    + Interact with customers and internal sales teams, requiring comfort in calling customers to clarify requirements, shipping, etc.

    + Create detailed production and part drawings.

    + Design standard products and customer-specific applications as required.

    + Schedule and manage drawing workload.

    + Provide engineering and technical support to the sales department, production personnel, and customers.

    + Draft in CAD (80% of the time) and generate quotes.

    + Perform administrative tasks related to bills of materials and ERP system updates.

    + Communicate updates with clients such as shipping times, answer questions, and provide support.

    Essential Skills

    + Associates Degree in CAD or CAD Certificate.

    + Experience with AutoCAD.

    + Experience with SolidWorks.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
