PURPOSE:
Serves as Technical Lead/SME for the Facets Voucher application team, guiding the requirement analysis, design, development and implementation of Facets Voucher application and integrations within the Facets platform and to the up/downstream applications. Works with end-users and project stakeholders to define system scope and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare payer systems and combines hands-on expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure scalable, efficient and high-performing solutions that align with business objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
25% The Facets Lead is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Voucher, a custom software application within the Cognizant Facets Platform. Collaborate closely with business analysts and other technical resources, this role ensures that the organization's software solutions effectively support both current and future business needs. The ideal candidate must be adept at managing multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity while delivering scalable, high-performing and efficient solutions.
25% Identifies gaps in requirements and solves problems for the supporting staff. Identifies sequencing of services and technologies that are integrated in later phases of the project. Leads the evaluation of risk and opportunity impacts to existing or proposed projects/programs and implements risk mitigation actions. Develops ways to improve performance and increase system availability. Provides recommendations to infuse new technology. Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis.
25% Supports the Project Manager as the technical team lead on the project. Estimates the technical costs of projects for clients and project managers. Confers with clients to identify requirements and determine desired outcomes to formulate the design of the system or offer alternatives. Demonstrated experience with front-end and back-end programing and integration frameworks and tools. Assist in the estimation of development of application features.
25% Leads software design and development teams. Identifies, analyzes, defines, and coordinates user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translates them into technical requirements. Manages technical resources (hardware, software, licenses, and services). Plans and leads transformation initiatives to new software architectures. Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team. Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap / architecture discussions. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices. Ensure code quality, deployment standards and practices. Mentoring junior developers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Leads a team utilizing a matrix management system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
**Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
**Experience:** 8 years proven success overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 8 years Software design and development, software test and evaluation, software requirements management.
+ 5+ years of demonstrated knowledge of Facets Core and Voucher application.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server OS.
+ Knowledge of core networking concepts to support troubleshooting.
+ Demonstrated skill in collaborating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to maintain a successful work environment.
+ Proficient at Microsoft office products.
+ Basic understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent database technology.
+ Ability to read application logs (primarily .NET).
+ Scripting or programming skills.
+ Experience working with monitoring and management tools such as Dynatrace or RHQ.
+ Insurance industry knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.
+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
**Licenses/Certifications** :
ITIL Foundations v3 Upon hire preferred.
Salary Range: $113,256 - $224,939
