    Overview

     

    Maintaining fuel availability at the company’s and customers 500+ tank locations. This involves monitoring the tank fuel levels and determining appropriate purchasing and delivery cycles to maintain 100% site fuel availability. Based on tank forecasting, project next delivery, select a terminal source and optimize the best buy price. Dispatch loads to drivers and outside haulers to execute the purchasing and delivery loads.

     

    Pay is:$50,000/yr

    Responsibilities

    + Monitoring the company 500+ fuel tank locations by product

    + Forecasting site / product usage and project the next required delivery to maintain 100% fuel availability

    + Based on forecasted deliveries select optimum terminal source

    + Evaluate terminal pricing to optimize best buy vendor

    + Based on forecasted delivery needs insure delivery capacity of company drivers and outside haulers

    + Dispatch purchasing and delivery assignments to company drivers and outside haulers

    + Resolve any terminal purchase discrepancies for product outages

    + Reconcile executed deliveries to open dispatch orders

    + Manage dispatch function within company safety standards and DOT regulationsMinimize site Run-outs

    + Responsible for the nightly pricing routine to include creating and distributing the best buy pricing workbook

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree or equivalent experience / education-

    + 3 – 5 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or route planning preferred

    + Decision making and problem resolution skills

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast fuel needs, optimize routes and purchasing efficiency

    + Knowledge of DOT hours of service regulations

    + Ability to assign work and communicate effectively with driver team and outside haulers

    + Work in a fast-paced customer service organization and results-driven culture

    + Accuracy, Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Proficiency in utilizing dispatch software tools and Microsoft Office Suite

    + Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus

    + Prior experience using dispatch and route optimization tools a plus

    + Petroleum experience a plus

    + Normal Hours of operation: T&P operates on 24/7 basis, the dispatch function working primarily staggered dayshift with a rotation of night on-call responsibilities and weekend shifts.
