Southland Holdings is seeking a Treasury Staff Accountant to assist at our corporate office in Grapevine, TX. This position is ENTRY LEVEL, new grads are encouraged to apply!

Job Duties:

+ Accurately post payments and adjustments from various sources on a daily basis

+ Monitor cash activity and balances

+ Resolve daily bank issues

+ Research and post electronic transactions

+ Electronically deposit AR receipts

+ Import and verify positive pay transactions

+ Initiate Wires and ACH payments

+ Import weekly ACH files

+ Unclaimed Property, Send due diligence letters

+ Keep current on unclaimed property requirements in all 50 states as required by law

+ Respond to emails received from operations in a timely manner. Perform necessary research as requested. May include copies of cashed checks, emails, reports, payment history, etc.

+ Provide needed documents as requested for audits, such as copies of checks, bank statements, etc.

+ Other various accounting duties and/or projects

Qualifications:

+ Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience.

+ Working knowledge of Sage 300 and Viewpoint software preferred

+ 0-3 years in Treasury or related field.

+ Intermediate Excel skills required

+ Must have strong communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of management

+ Ability to manage a broad range of activities

+ Excellent time management and organization skills

+ Organized, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work independently
