Job Summary:

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support NISSC II. This role ensures the efficiency, security, and reliability of software applications while aligning with business objectives. The Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development & Implementation:

+ The Jr Software Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical

Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:

+ This role develops and maintains complex engineering computer programs, and performs coding, testing, installing, and maintaining of engineering computer programs having features including multiplicity of function, critical constraints, and elaborate input/output.

+ Provide diagnostic support to correct processing anomalies in complex computer programs.

+ Develop computer program documentation and operational procedures.

+ Prepare project resource estimates, schedules, and cost analysis.

+ Assist in the preparation of specifications and other activities that require knowledge of programming principles and techniques.

+ Interpret requirements and perform analysis to ensure that objectives are met.

+ Assist in the training of less experienced personnel.

+ Support Agile team(s) in development and implementation of software components for NISSC II Products.

+ Attend and participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.

+ Attend and participate in standard Agile meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives).

Qualifications:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a related field; or combination of education and experience.

+ Experience: 1 year or more of progressive, relevant experience in software engineering or a related field

+ Clearance Requirements: Secret

Work Environment:

Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
