Job Description
Join our team as a Stores Attendant-B and contribute to maintaining efficient and effective inventory management in a large warehouse setting. You will work Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the possibility of overtime as needed. This role is based at the Kenedy Service Center in Kenedy, TX, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our storeroom and storage yards.

Responsibilities
+ Issue materials under proper authorization and maintain required records, including picking up, hauling, and delivering materials.
+ Check received material for quantity, identity, breakage, and condition, and initiate and process material receipt and related records.
+ Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
+ Identify, sort, and record returned materials, place usable material in stock, and sort non-usable material into scrap containers.
+ Operate computer terminals and printers for materials management and other office equipment.
+ Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials, following safety and environmental procedures.
+ Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
+ Assist in maintaining efficient storage of materials and perform basic housekeeping.
+ Maintain inventory levels through cycle counts and perform discrepancy adjustments with appropriate approvals.
+ Assist employees of equal or higher classification and perform similar or less skilled work.
+ Adhere to company safety rules, operating regulations, and practices.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ At least one year of experience in inventory control, material handling, or warehousing.
+ Basic computer skills for using inventory management software, such as Maximo, Excel, and Word.
+ Ability to perform basic math functions and possess good communication skills.
+ Capability to safely lift up to 70 pounds and successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
+ Appropriate state driver's license; CDL must be obtained within six months if required.
+ Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and road vehicles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with heavy equipment operation and construction is preferred.
+ Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Willingness to learn new programs and adapt to different work environments.
Work Environment
This position involves working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including electrical laydown yards. You will operate in various weather conditions, from heat to inclement weather. The dress code includes wearing steel-toe boots, jeans, long pants, and a t-shirt, with no inappropriate graphics. All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. If wearing eyeglasses, side shields are required but not provided. Some local travel may be required, and a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be necessary for this role.

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Kenedy, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $10.00 - $22.00/hr.
