Description
PCSI is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to lead team members and support operations on our upcoming contract with El Paso Port of Entry! The Assistant Project Manager oversees a team of custodial and grounds workers, team leads, and supervisors at several Port of Entry locations by providing training and ensuring the work meets quality and safety standards. This role also works closely with the Project Manager by enforcing policies, addressing customer requests, and providing administrative support.

What You'll Do as Assistant Project Manager:
+ Provide oversight to assigned contract and ensure the work identified in the contract is performed properly, on time, safely, and within budget. May be required to fill in for Project Manager as needed.
+ Train employees to meet contract requirements.
+ Administer corporate personnel policies in accordance with contract and Employee Handbook.
+ Support the People team in investigations, inquiries and implementation of actions and policy.
+ Ensure contractual compliance through surveillance, audits and hands on inspections of work and taking immediate action when work is not completed to standards.
+ Process employee time sheets and all other administrative tasks by established deadlines.
+ Maintain all cleaning supplies, equipment and tools and submit invoices of ordered supplies. May be required to evaluate and recommend equipment and tools necessary for job functions.
+ Ensure adherence to Quality Control and Safety Plans. Promote Management of Safety (MOST) philosophy and practices. Maintain Orange QC monthly inspections each month. Train new employees on Litmos. Train employees on following SOP’s. Participate in monthly Safety Meetings., and Safety Trainings.
+ Work with the Director of Operations and Safety and Risk Mitigation on issues and concerns pertaining to the established goals.
+ Collaborate with Workforce Development (WD) to place employees in suitable positions and given appropriate accommodations (as required). Assist with monthly case notes. Participates with WD audits. Follow Accommodation worksheet given by WD.
+ Maintain consistent positive customer relations through written and verbal professional communications and respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner. Communicate to the PM all inquiries and request made by the COR, CO in a timely manner.
+ Maintain and support employees with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). All Safety Data Sheet binders shall be updated accordingly.
+ Participation in the Performance Evaluation program is required.
+ Support and train employees with using power equipment, edgers, lawnmowers, riding mower, trimmers, pruning shears, and all other landscaping task(s) as deemed by the contract.
+ Support and train floor technicians with striping and waxing of floors and buffing floors as scheduled by the contract to keep floors maintained with a high gloss.
+ Ensure all chemicals used in the contract are according to the government and by the Ability One Program specifications; cleaning chemicals, weed killer, floor cleaning chemicals.

What You'll Need:
+ High school diploma or GED, college credit preferred.
+ Minimum of two (2) years of prior supervisory and/or management experience in custodial/grounds, or related experience.
+ Proficiency in English required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of PC functions and software.
+ Operation of windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel, etc. and related applications.
+ Ability to work with power equipment in cutting grass, trimming edges, pruning trees, pulling out stumps, planting vegetation, and all other landscaping duties required by the contract.
+ Some knowledge in irrigation systems, in repairing of leaks and turning on and off of the system, and making adjustments of the timer.
+ Advanced written and oral communication skills.
+ Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to be a self-starter and have strong time management skills.
+ Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
+ Ability and willingness to exert disciplinary action as needed as well as delegate authority.
+ Ability to work both with minimal supervision and as a team player.
+ Ability to understand and execute correctly Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
+ Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
+ Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
+ Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
+ Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
+ Ability to work one day out of the week on weekends; either a Saturday or Sunday, for oversight of employees that work weekends.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% locally.
+ Ability to respond to after-hour emergency calls as determined by the Contracting Office Representative (COR).
+ If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
