    Automotive Technician

     

    $30-50 flat rate pay

    Job Description

    We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Automotive Technician with experience in engine repair, transmissions, and auto repair. This role involves diagnosing engine issues using diagnostic tools, repairing or replacing damaged components, and performing engine rebuilds and overhauls as needed. Successful candidates will test and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper engine performance and repair damaged or malfunctioning vehicles using hand and power tools.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose engine issues using scan tools, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic equipment.

    + Repair or replace damaged engine components.

    + Perform engine rebuilds and overhauls when necessary.

    + Test and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper engine performance.

    + Repair damaged or malfunctioning vehicles.

    + Frequently use hand tools and power tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong diagnostic skills and experience with modern engine management systems.

    + Skilled in engine repair.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to perform diagnostic testing.

    + Experience in mechanical troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years’ experience in a GM dealership preferred.

    + A clean driving record.

    + Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, climbing, leaning, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and other maneuvers associated with the position.

    + Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. (50 lbs. overhead) throughout the day.

    + Own automotive tools; a built-in toolbox will be provided.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a large, high-volume dealership with a nice facility. The work schedule is flexible, offering first shift options such as 7 AM to 4 PM, 8 AM to 5 PM, 9 AM to 6 PM, or four 10-hour days.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
