    Job Description

    As a Cook I, you will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for different meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and guidelines.

    + Efficiently handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, chopping, grilling, slicing, steaming, and cold prep.

    + Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

    + Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment.

    + Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality food service.

    + Assist in inventory control and maintain accurate records.

    + Follow instructions and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.

    + Ability to operate kitchen equipment.

    + Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

    + Effective communication skills to follow instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to use knives proficiently.

    + Experience in cooking fish, chicken, and meat.

    + Competence in both hot and cold food preparation.

    + Experience in inventory control.

    + Ability to wash dishes and maintain clean workstations.

    + Strong teamwork skills.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment requires availability from 1 pm to 9 pm. The role involves working with various kitchen equipment in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
