    Job Description

    As a CMM Operator, you will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components and assemblies. You will program and edit CMM routines using PC-DMIS to support production and quality assurance needs, analyze inspection results, and document findings according to company and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional discrepancies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate CMMs to perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.

    + Program and edit CMM routines using PC-DMIS.

    + Analyze inspection results and document findings in accordance with company and industry standards.

    + Make improvements to existing CMM programs to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    + Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional discrepancies.

    + Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections as needed.

    + Maintain accurate and organized records of inspection data and reports.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality and manufacturing processes.

    + Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience as a CMM Operator/Programmer.

    + Hands-on experience with PC-DMIS Software.

    + Proficiency in GD&T, CMM programming, and quality control.

    + Experience with dimensional inspection and precision instrumentation.

    + Understanding of tolerancing and blueprint reading.

    + Ability to pass Certification within 30 days of employment.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.

    + Familiarity with other metrology tools and software is a plus.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
