Maintenance Technician

Currently hiring 2nd/3rd shift Maintenance Technicians in the Northwest IN area. Hiring immediately.

Job Description

+ Perform mechanical and electrical repairs for tubing mill equipment.

+ Respond to equipment breakdowns and execute necessary repairs.

+ Troubleshoot motors, fuses, relays, gear boxes, encoders, and PLCs.

+ Handle troubleshooting and maintenance of hydraulic systems.

+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical motors, air compressors, fans, and pumps.

+ Fabricate, assemble, and test mechanical system parts.

+ Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and order parts.

+ Perform additional duties such as painting, plumbing, and general maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including PLCs and automation.

+ Experience with hydraulic troubleshooting.

+ Computer knowledge, with CMMS preferred.

+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting of motors, relays, and sensors.

+ Willingness to undertake additional schooling.

Work Environment

Our facility is a tube mill with a dark, industrial environment, and no windows. The work is dirty, and mechanics often become greasy. We have a team-oriented culture where each maintenance person collaborates with another technician. The dress code includes metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. We have three openings: one on the 2nd shift from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and two on the 3rd shift from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, Monday to Thursday, with possible overtime on Friday and Saturday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
