Job Title: Washer Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Washer Assembler, responsible for washing industrial parts with precision and care before they are assembled. This role demands attention to detail as these are delicate components. The washer assembler will clean rotors, prepare castings using a soap stone, load and unload washers, rinse using a pressure washer, and blow-dry with pneumatic air hoses. A thorough visual inspection and use of Scotch rite is also required. This position offers cross-training opportunities in the mechanical assembly room with potential for growth in those roles.
Responsibilities
+ Clean and prepare industrial parts using soap stone and pressure washer.
+ Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Blow dry components using pneumatic air hoses.
+ Cross-train in the mechanical assembly room for career growth.
+ Utilize Scotch rite for detailed cleaning processes.
Essential Skills
+ Industrial experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software - Word and Excel.
+ Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
+ Attention to detail and thoroughness.
+ Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical skills in gauges, shims, O-ring, and seal installation.
+ Experience in machine/engine building, car/transmission work, or farm equipment work.
+ Use of torque wrenches, air tools, and micrometers.
+ Experience with temp indicators and backlash indicators.

Work Environment
The facility is clean and climate-controlled, offering a comfortable working environment. It is brightly lit due to recent upgrades in lighting. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Tools necessary for the job are provided, promoting efficiency and ease in completing tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
