THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Procurement Specialist 3, you will be responsible for overseeing contracts and grants that involve large sums of money and impact a large number of individuals. You will provide analytical and consultative support to the procurement process, particularly for complex and politically charged projects such as IT-related contracts and grants. Your duties will also involve developing and statements of work, determining price structures, setting performance measures, and evaluating proposals. Ultimately, your role is crucial in ensuring that the contracts and grants you finalize serve the needs of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its constituents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to work physically in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During your first week of employment, you will be required to report physically to the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Procurement Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
+ Two years of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
