    The Xbox Communications team is looking for a dynamic communications professional to lead executive and internal communications for the President of Xbox. The Director of Internal & Executive Communications, part of the Xbox Global Brand and Platform Communications team, will be a trusted advisor to both the Xbox President and Xbox Leadership Team, developing, executing and scaling cohesive communications strategies that will shape the future of play.

     

    The Director of XBOX Internal & Executive Communications is responsible for creating a strategic framework for the President of Xbox across internal and external audiences. This leader will identify, plan and support media engagements and speaking opportunities in support of the Xbox priorities, as well as collaborate across the Xbox and broader gaming organization to implement effective employee communications strategies that support our ambitions. The role will also be responsible for the Xbox President’s digital presence, responsible for thought leadership, videos, and social media.

    Responsibilities

    Executive Comms Strategy: Shape and lead the Xbox President’s executive positioning and platform—across internal, external, and industry-facing moments.

     

    Narrative Development: Own development of clear, compelling narratives aligned to the principle’s voice and Xbox business goals.

     

    Thought Leadership: Identify and activate high-impact opportunities for visibility, from major keynotes to owned content (written and video pieces) to select media opportunities.

     

    Employee Engagement: Drive employee-facing communications for the executive, with a focus on leadership voice, vision, transparency as well as education and alignment on the Xbox business strategy, including town halls and Ask-Me-Anything's (AMAs).

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key comms partner to Xbox communications team and Xbox leadership team across hardware, services, ecosystem, and partnerships. Develop and drive processes that keep stakeholders aligned and updated on communications initiatives (calendars, workback plans, etc).

     

    Social media: As part of the executive comms strategy, create social media strategy for the Xbox President and support daily content.

     

    Speechwriting and Content: Deliver high-impact content ranging from live presentations to authored pieces, internal scripts, and leadership communications.

    Qualifications

    Required/minimum qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 3+ years of experience leading and/or driving internal and/or executive communications initiatives.

    Additional or preferred qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

    + OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 6+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.

    + 3+ years experience working with social media platforms.

    + 6+ years of experience leading internal and/or external communications, or marketing communications for an organization.

    + 5+ years of experience in the gaming and entertainment industries creating employee excitement and landing thought leadership with a passion for gaming market, trends and culture.

    + Experience strategizing and executing communications initiatives while remaining aligned to the brand and brand reputation management.

    + 6+ years media relations experience and compelling writing and communication skills.

     

    Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
