High School Special Education Teacher – Math & Science

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our high school team, with a focus on Math and Science instruction . This role supports students with diverse learning needs in grades 9–12 and collaborates closely with general education staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction in Math and Science to students with IEPs.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and assessments.

+ Participate in IEP development and implementation.

+ Offer academic interventions and tutorial support.

+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (required).

+ Valid state teaching certificate (required).

+ At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).

+ Preferred Certifications:

+ Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching

+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement

+ Subject area expertise in Math and/or Science (strongly preferred).

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
