    CTG is seeking to fill an EHS Manager opening for our client in Whitsett, NC.

     

    **Location:** Whitsett, NC

    **Duration:** 12+ months, contract to hire

    Duties:

    + Oversee the organization’s environmental health and safety programs to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    + Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

    + Perform regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure ongoing safety compliance.

    + Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    + Develop and deliver safety training programs on topics such as hazard recognition, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures.

    + Monitor compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

    + Lead ergonomic evaluations of workspaces to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

    + Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support health surveillance efforts and address occupational health issues.

    + Manage incident reporting systems, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.

    + Serve as a consultative partner to leadership, offering guidance on safety improvements and promoting a strong safety culture.

    + Maintain and update policies and procedures for North American sites.

    + Track accident and first aid trends through systems and coordinate with insurance providers.

    + Provide multisite oversight and EHS leadership.

    Skills:

    + Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.

    + Skilled in risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigation.

    + Proficient in developing and presenting safety training.

    + Analytical mindset with the ability to identify safety trends and root causes.

    + Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficiency in EHS software tools and reporting systems is a plus.

    Experience:

    + Proven experience managing environmental health and safety programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

    + Experience with multi-site EHS oversight.

    + Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, HR, and leadership.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.

    + Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Hygiene Specialist (OHS), or equivalent are preferred.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
