    MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Journeyman** **Release Management Specialist** to join our team in **Doral, FL.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Oversees the operational aspects of the release management process for IT applications and services, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment across different environments.

    + Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of release activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments, collaborating with stakeholders for alignment with project timelines and business objectives.

    + Assists in defining and documenting release management strategies, policies, and procedures for IT operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.

    + Collaborates with development, testing, operations, and Security Teams to plan and schedule release activities and resources, fostering effective communication and coordination.

    + Manages release pipelines, monitors the progress and status of releases, provides regular updates to stakeholders on deliverables, risks, and issues, and coordinates/facilitates release readiness reviews, deployment approvals, and post-release evaluations.

    + Ensures releases are deployed timely and consistently, uses automated tools for streamlining, troubleshoots/resolves release-related problems, conducts quality assurance/security audits, collects/analyzes feedback/metrics for improvement, and maintains release documentation, while receiving guidance from senior staff.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + BA/BS in field necessary to assume Release Management Specialist duties and a minimum or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree

    + 4+ years of experience with 2+ years of position-specific relevant experience.

    + Experience with release management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including planning, coordinating, and executing software releases.

    + Familiarity with different release strategies (e.g., blue/green deployment, canary releases) and ITIL-informed frameworks, particularly release and deployment management processes.

    + Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), experience with build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven), and basic scripting or programming skills for automating release tasks.

    + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address release-related issues, ability to analyze logs and identify root causes of problems, and ability to create and maintain release documentation (plans, schedules, reports).

    + Experience with using release management tools and tracking systems, and the ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + 4+ years of experience in an agile-informed development environment.

    + Understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

    + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based release management tools. Knowledge of security best practices for release management.

    + ITIL Foundation certification or higher. Certified Release Manager (CRM).

    + Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current/active Secret clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

    + Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication verbally and via email, phone, and virtual communication platforms to interface with co-workers and customers.

    + Must be able to occasionally move about inside an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, and communicate with co-workers.
