Mechanic Technician

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Mechanic Technician** to join our vehicle sustainment team in **Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.** The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
+ Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
+ Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
+ Effectively apply industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
+ Use LogMASTRE as required.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications** :
+ 3+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
+ Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
+ Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
+ Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
+ Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
+ Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferred.
+ Prior training or experience on Ground Mobility Vehicle 1.1 (GMV 1.1)
+ Prior training or experience Non – Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV) i.e. Toyota, Polaris.
+ Prior training on the CROWS Weapon Station.
+ Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements if needed.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
+ Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
+ Must be able to work in high noise areas.
+ Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
+ Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
