A non-profit organization that specializes in blood donation for hospitals around the Southeast is seeking a Medical Director to join their team!

**Pay** : $250k-$350k base DOE

Schedule:

+ 1 st shift with rotational on-call schedule

+ Hybrid

**Location** : Tampa area

Responsibilities:

+ Provides direction and support to various aspects of transfusion and blood services

+ Collaborate with donor services staff to guide medical management, donor counseling, and deferral processes.

+ Advise client hospital physicians, staff, and administrators to ensure the safe and effective delivery of transfusion and cellular therapies.

+ Participates in research initiatives as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

+ Ensures CLIA certification and compliance in laboratories

+ Shares on-call medical coverage for assigned service areas in rotation with other physicians.

Requirements:

+ M.D. or D.O. with active medical license in the state of Florida

+ Board-certified in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in transfusion medicine or blood blanking operations

+ Understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, CLIA, etc.)

+ Ability to travel – travel will be 50% within the state and 20% out of state.
