    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position will support Enterprise Asset Management (MATRiX) organization in Southern Company Gas. The role plays a versatile part within our project teams, offering a broad range of skills to support various aspects of project execution. The individual is responsible for providing comprehensive support to our projects through effective change management, detailed process documentation, stakeholder engagement, project communication, and proactive project support; however, the responsibilities extend beyond these tasks This position is equipped with an in-depth understanding of business environments, aiming to support business process improvements and system solutions that contribute to the success of the enterprise. It is dedicated to fostering end-to-end business process improvements, utilizing technical expertise and analytical acumen. The individual will work collaboratively across different project workstreams, providing essential support to ensure the effective implementation of business-aligned solutions and applications.

     

    This position is part of a job family and may be filled as Business Analyst III (GSE04) or Senior Analyst (GSE05). Individuals who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education, and certifications may be eligible for the more advanced position.

     

    The selected candidate could work out of the following locations: Georgia or Illinois

     

    This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to be in the office four (4) days per week, one (1) remote.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Business Analyst III (GSE04)

    Education, Certifications/Licenses:

    Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Technology, or a related field / equivalent work experience **.**

    Related Work Experience:

    Required:

    + 2-4 years combined experience with the utilities or other related experience.

    + 1-3 years of experience analyzing data and process improvement.

    + Requires supervision and direction.

    + Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Basic understanding of project management principles.

    + Basic knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools.

    + Understands and performs moderate project team level fundamental tasks (User Story, Test Case, Functional Design documents).

    + Familiarity with change management and business process analysis concepts.

    + Ability to develop and implement change management plans.

    + Familiarity in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other presentation software.

    Preferred:

    + Knowledge of business-related systems (i.e. Maximo, Enterprise Globe, Click, Asset Repository, GCMA, CCB, etc.)

    + Ability to demonstrate flexibility in supporting various project aspects, including but not limited to process improvement, system enhancements, and strategic initiative implementation.

    + Demonstrates a strong aptitude for quickly learning new systems and technologies.

    + The ability to develop plans to achieve proficient understanding of fundamental principles of Enterprise Asset Management, Work Management, and Workforce Management.

    + Demonstrate ability to learn business process management discipline.

    + Demonstrated ability to learn Strategic Asset Management concepts.

    + Ability to assist in documenting and analyzing current and future state processes.

    + Capable of managing and arranging daily tasks effectively to ensure productivity.

    + Consistently follows through on assignments and meets deadlines efficiently.

    + Effectively communicates task progress and potential challenges to the team to ensure alignment and timely resolution

     

    Senior Business Analyst (GSE05)

    Education, Certifications/Licenses:

    Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Technology or a related field / equivalent work experience.

    Related Work Experience:

    Required:

    + 3-5 years combined experience with the utilities or other related experience.

    + 3+ years of experience analyzing data and process improvement.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Proficient in understanding moderately complex project team level activities and all entry-level Business Analyst lll job functions.

    + Proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies.

    + Performs moderate project team level fundamental tasks (User Story, Test Case, Functional Design documents).

    + Ability to gather and document requirements.

    + Assisting in identifying stakeholders impacted by the change

    + Supporting change impact assessments

    + Supporting the development of change management plans

    + Ability to contribute to communication efforts to ensure stakeholders are informed about the change

    + Assisting in training needs analysis and supporting training initiatives.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other presentation software.

    Preferred:

    + Knowledge of business-related systems (i.e. Maximo, Enterprise Globe, Click, Asset Repository, GCMA, CCB, etc.)

    + Ability to assist in documenting and analyzing current and future state processes.

    + Proficiency plus basic understanding of the asset and process hierarchy structure.

    + Basic knowledge of asset lifecycle principals PCOAR (Plan, Construct, Operate, Analyze, Replace/Retire).

    + Basic knowledge of the work plan lifecycle IPSEC (Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute, Complete).

    + Achieve proficient understanding of fundamental principles of Enterprise Asset Management, Work Management, and Workforce Management.

    + Engages in high-level discussions, providing valuable insights and expertise to drive project success.

    + Collaborates seamlessly with team members, fostering a cohesive and productive working environment.

    + Articulates findings and updates with clarity and precision, ensuring all team members are informed and aligned.

    + Effectively manages competing priorities and adapts to changing project needs while maintaining a focus on achieving project objectives.

    + Ability to self-prioritize, organize daily work assignments and adhere to tasks and complete them in timely manner

    + Must have extensive knowledge of general management business practices and techniques.

    + Ability to support multiple resources and adapt to changing priorities.

    MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role will be responsible for utilizing technical acumen, analytical capabilities, and collaborative skills to contribute to project success, ensuring that delivered solutions are effective and align with the organization's strategic objectives and includes but is not limited to:

    + Support change impact analysis and business briefing development

    + Support stakeholder analysis, including validating stakeholder impacts and managing any stakeholder interviews/workshops/surveys

    + Complete workforce readiness and adoption activities.

    + Support maintenance of OR dashboards

    + Support deployment (hypercare) training and communications activities

    + Manage program onboarding materials and associated communications

    + Manage program team communications activities, including content for PI planning, team evaluations/surveys, team building events, etc.

    + Develop and manage all hands communications, including FUEL, Pipeline365, and MATRiX features on IDD

    + Develop and manage training communications

    + Develop and administer both internal and external surveys and provide full analysis of survey results. **(i.e. Workforce Readiness, User Experience surveys and Change Readiness Assessments**

    + Coordinating with project teams to ensure timely dissemination of information regarding upcoming changes, milestones, and expectations.

    + Maintaining an up-to-date repository of communication assets and materials that can be easily accessed and utilized by the organization.

    + Develop and administer both internal and external surveys and provide full analysis of survey results.

    + Participate in special projects, as requested.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    + Infrequent travel required (10%)
