Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site’s Cold War legacy. Responsiblities
THIS IS A CASUAL POSITION WORKING A MAXIMUM OF 900 HOURS PER CALENDAR YEAR.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven and highly motivated Business Assistant II to join our Human Resources/Talent Acquisition team of dedicated professionals focused on customer service and quality.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform various administrative and support duties and responsibilities related to employee recruiting and on-boarding activities.
+ Schedule introductory interviews for Talent Partners and create and assemble documentation from recruiters and candidates.
+ Ensure completion of all new hire paperwork, including letters, background checks and references.
+ Complete electronic and hard-copy forms, create personnel files, and provide backup to complete routine tasks as needed for Craft hiring
+ Ensure proper completion of the Employment Eligibility Verification I-9s form for each new hire, enter all information into the E-Verify database.
+ Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for department services; answers inquiries from other departments, area offices, or outside entities.
+ Organize material for meetings, presentations and training sessions.
+ Keep abreast of department technologies, techniques, and services relevant to area of responsibility. Make recommendations for work process improvements, procedures, and practices.
+ Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
+ High School diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of related experience in Human Resources functions.
+ Working knowledge and experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), E-Verify, Microsoft Office.
+ Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, calculators, and other general office equipment.
+ Able to apply knowledge and experience in interpreting data and performing work where established procedures may not be specific, using some creativity and initiative.
+ Able to demonstrate creativity in how work is performed and in addressing work processes.
+ Demonstrate customer service and people skills so that employees and candidates for employment feel welcomed and supported
+ Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines.
+ Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
+ Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
+ The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
+ Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .’

Hourly range for this position is: **$20.78 - $31.17.**
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
