Network Engineer

The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the partner to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need an experienced network engineer like you who knows how to develop the exact network our international partner needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture and system interoperability to support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll design enterprise architectures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You'll apply your expertise in system interoperability as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the nation's close allies.

Your knowledge of network protocols will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in networking and interoperability, you'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:

+ 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer supporting the DoD

+ Knowledge of computer environments, including hardware, sof tware, and configurations

+ Ability to decompose operational requirements from partner nations and create functional requirements

+ Ability to translate functional requirements into network requirements using your technical expertise

+ Secret clearance

+ Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Nice If You Have:

+ Experience with C2 systems

+ Knowledge of system-of-systems architectures and integration principles

+ Ability to provide design recommendations for the network based on technical requirements

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
