The role you'll contribute:

The Physical Therapist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with the Florida Physical Therapy Association standards and pursuant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 486.021 (S): Physical Therapist means a person who is licensed and who practices physical therapy in accordance with this chapter.

Evaluation: Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or situation; Performs consults as indicated from database collection.

Re-Evaluation: Performs assessments as indicated due to changes in patients medical condition that will alter the PT treatment plan previously determined.

Reassessments: Evaluates progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.

Treatment Plan: Analyzes the assessment data to determine course of treatment.

Goal Setting: Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.

Planning: The patients plan of care is developed to attain expected outcomes.

Implementation: Implements the identified plan of care.

Supervision of and Collaboration with Physical Therapy Assistants: In order to implement the plan of care and determine its effectiveness, identify changes with patients condition that may alter the plan of care, and assist with methodology of treatments.

Teaches, directs and instructs PT Technician: In order to promote safety and carry out an effective treatment method, the Physical Therapist must be able to provide timely, proper, effective instructions to the PT Technician so they can provide better support wherever necessary.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a specific degree/major in Physical Therapy.

Current Florida Physical Therapy license

Current BLS from American Heart Association
