POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Support Specialist for TP Trucking/Logistics will work at our Central Point, OR facility. They will perform a broad range of IT services and IT-related initiatives, such as when a new software application is implemented that supports just TP Trucking/Logistics division and will also provide an on-site presence for those activities directed by the corporate IT Team, such as when a system-wide hardware upgrade is mandated, or a system-wide software application is being implemented. Additionally, this individual may be called upon to augment the corporate Help Desk staff during those hours when emergency help is needed by any Timber Products site during those hours when the corporate Help Desk is not manned.

TP Trucking & Logistics sites include a Brokerage Office, Maintenance Shop, Paint Shop and Truck yard in Central Point; a brokerage office in Augusta, GA; and a Warehouse and Maintenance shop in Thomson, GA. Due to the remote facilities in the East, some travel will be required.

MAJOR TASKS:

+ Provide IT support: solving Help Desk tickets originating from TP Trucking & Logistics; coordination of testing and solutions for with the software vendors; conducting business analysis; creation of business requirements; leading software selection activities for new/replacement systems, organization of and participation in testing efforts; organization of and participation in system training efforts; creation of testing and training documentation; providing Go-Live and Post-Go-Live support for system implementations; This support is estimated to consume 30% of their time annually.

+ Provide conventional Desktop Support for the TP Trucking & Logistic sites. This support would include creation of hardware requisitions; installation of new hardware; replacement of existing hardware; sending hardware in for repair; trouble-shooting existing hardware; and assistance with software installations. This support is estimated to consume 60% of their time annually.

+ Provide emergency Help Desk support when required for the Enterprise. Many of our Operations run 24/7. This support also includes the task of maintaining the documentation associated with the Help Desk tickets submitted. This support is estimated to consume 10% of their time annually.

+ Provide exceptional customer service for reported problems of all types.

+ Provide timely status reporting for ongoing projects.

+ Providing on-call support for emergency needs.

+ May be called upon to augment the corporate Help Desk staff during those hours when emergency help is needed by any Timber Products site during those hours when the corporate Help Desk is not manned.

COMPETENCIES:

+ Familiarity with maintaining and upgrading Information Security applications and solutions, such as, but not limited to, Network Access Control, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Identity Management, Privileged Access Control, Cloud Security Brokers, Anti-Malware, EDR, MDR, Email Security, Web Security, SIEM, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Threat intelligence etc.

+ Understands the principle of least privilege and the confidentiality, integrity and availability triad, works to enforce these concepts company-wide.

+ Experience assisting with IT compliance audits, control frameworks and concepts such as NIST 800-53, CIS Critical controls, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10 etc.

+ Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts as means of relating business needs to security controls.

+ Understanding of network infrastructure, operating system security as well as best practices for securing data in transit or at rest.

+ Ability to perform incident response analysis and root cause analysis through research, and peer/vendor support.

+ Facilitate vendor engagements, develop RFPs, review contracts, and ensure accountability.

+ Experience in documenting process, procedures, and standards.

+ Comfortable researching and analyzing innovative technologies and strategic solutions.

+ Initiative-taker that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction and proven project leadership abilities.

+ Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct presentations and effectively relay information to all levels of the organization.

+ Possesses strong organization and time management skills and can multi-task and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment.

+ Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and can manage diverse and multiple projects.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years’ experience in Information Security, or comparable position. B.S. Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

• Experience working in the cyber security field.

• Possession of or progress towards Information Security related certification such as CISSP is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.

• Ability to research and diagnose security risks and system problems, which may include the evaluation of infrastructure, programming logic, databases, applications, policies, and other issues.

• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
