Required Skills:

Data Scientist (Product) Responsibilities:

1. Applying expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how Meta users interact with our consumer and business products.

2. Mine massive amounts of data and perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights.

3. Develop data pipelines with automated, machine-learning systems that convert noisy core datasets into powerful signals of user behavior.

4. Build models of user behaviors for analysis or to power production systems.

5. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.

6. Design and implement dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.

7. Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups.

8. Work across areas of product operations, exploratory analysis, product leadership, and data infrastructure to help shape the future of what we build at Meta.

9. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Analytics or a related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.Requires 48 months of experience in the following:

11. 2. Data querying language(s) including SQL

12. 3. Scripting language(s) including Python

13. 4. Statistical or mathematical software including one of the following: R, SAS, or Matlab

14. 5. Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting

15. 6. Machine learning techniques

16. 7. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

17. 8. Relational databases

18. 9. Quantitative analysis techniques, including one of the following: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics

$213,146/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
