About the unit
The Neonatal ICU is a Critical Care Unit within Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, caring for newborn babies born with various conditions that haven't yet been discharged to go home with their family. We build great relationships with the parents of our NICU babies since they are so frequently here at the bedside. We are the largest NICU in Michigan and care for babies from 37 counties. The NICU unit is a 108 bed unit.
Scope of Work
Our NICU Unit Aide has an important role of sanitizing cribs/bassinets/incubators, 5 hours per day, 4 days per week. 5pm-10pm. This is a very detail oriented support role for our team.
They also assist in stocking supplies, cleaning equipment and performing other errands as needed.
This is not a direct patient care role.
Qualifications
+ Required High School Diploma or equivalent experience
+ Sanitization experience is preferred
