The Load Planner is responsible for creating and coordinating aircraft load plans to ensure safe weight distribution, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, while collaborating with ground teams and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A LOAD PLANNER
+ Develop and implement effective load plans ensuring optimal aircraft balance and weight distribution
+ Ensure compliance with airline, aviation, and DOT regulations, including vehicle and personnel safety
+ Utilize specialized software to create and adjust load plans based on flight specifications
+ Coordinate with ground handlers and cargo agents to manage loading and unloading operations
+ Communicate load plans and updates clearly to pilots, ground crew, and other key personnel
+ Respond to last-minute changes in cargo and passenger loads, ensuring continued safety and efficiency
+ Maintain accurate records of cargo, baggage, and weight distribution for each flight
+ Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
+ Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
+ 18 years of age or older
+ Eligible to work in the United States
+ Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
+ Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
+ Pass a background check and drug screen
+ Experience in load planning, cargo handling, or a related field in the aviation industry
+ Strong understanding of aircraft weight and balance principles, as well as cargo loading regulations
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Proficiency in relevant software and load planning tools
+ Good communication skills for coordinating with various teams
+ Previous experience in aircraft weight and balance planning
+ Familiarity with load planning systems or specialized aviation software
+ Knowledge of DOT/FAA guidelines and compliance in a planning environment
+ A strong planning and coordination background rather than ramp or physical loading focus
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules
+ Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
+ Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including theuse of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
+ Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
+ Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
+ Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
+ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
+ Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time
