+ Schedule: 7am-7pm, Part- Time, Day Shift
+ Department: Safety Attendants
+ Location: Kernersville Medical Center – Kernersville, NC and Forsyth Medical Center - Winston-Salem, NC
The Patient Safety Attendant provides continuous, direct observation to ensure the safety and well-being of patients at risk of harm to themselves or others. Working under the direction of nursing staff, this role supports a safe care environment by monitoring behavior, assisting with basic needs, and promptly reporting any changes in patient condition or safety concerns.

Qualifications
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
+ Experience: Previous hospital experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/certification/registration: De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment), required. Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required. Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training), required.
+ Additional skills preferred: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines. Ability to work with all age group patients or act as a companion. Basic computer skills for documentation.
