Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a Senior Network Administrator. The candidate will design, implement and maintain secure data network solutions. This role involves managing network hardware and software, troubleshooting and resolving network issues, and optimizing network performance.

Strong documentation, communication, and project management skills are essential, as well as a deep understanding of networking protocols, virtualization, and cloud services. The ability to think critically, solve problems, and provide solutions is a must. The candidate will be expected to perform their duties under minimal supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Network Design and Architecture

+ Network Maintenance and Upgrades

+ Network Security Management

+ Troubleshooting and problem resolution

+ Monitoring and Performance Optimization

+ Continuity planning and disaster recovery

+ Compliance and auditing

Required Skills:

+ Must be a US Citizen

+ Candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance with Poly

+ Bachelor’s degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent experience may be accepted in place of a degree

+ 20+ years’ experience with computer networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs

+ 10+ years experience with Linux

+ 5+ years experience with scripting languages such as BASH or Python

+ Deep understanding of networking technologies

Desired Skills:

+ Hold one or more Advanced Networking Certifications

+ Experience with Network Security Accreditation

+ Experience with Atlassian software (Confluence, JIRA)

+ Experience with a wide variety of open source software and utilities

+ Background in Network Security and Intrusion Detection

+ Familiar with server and networking equipment rack installations

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $144,800.00 - $260,600.00
