Responsibilities:
The VP/GM, Bausch + Lomb U.S. Vision Care will provide leadership, strategic direction, and overall management to ensure revenue, market share and profitability objectives are met. As a member of Bausch + Lombs Operations Leadership Team (OLT), the role includes full P&L responsibility with leadership and oversight for sales, marketing, and sales operations.
This position leads the development of annual operating plans, delivery of topline sales and development of revenue and expense forecasts. The VP/GM will partner with cross functional teams to develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability. The role reports to the President of Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb.
**SALES & MARKETING LEADERSHIP** : Provide leadership in development of selling strategies, achievement of total U.S. sales forecasts and operational budgets; create effective sales execution plans, targeting and tactics in collaboration with commercial teams; identifying and turning consumer/brand insights into actionable programs that have a beneficial impact on the growth of the business. Leads the relationship management with ECPs and manages agreements and partnerships.
**ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT** : Responsibilities include the development of strategic operating structures, priorities, and key practitioner management and selling platforms. The VP/GM will be responsible for developing and sustaining a high performing organization through active recruitment and retention of high potential talent, coaching, and mentoring of managers, and for the development and engagement of a high performing organization.
**STRATEGIC CUSTOMER FOCUS** : Build a network of customer and industry contacts to facilitate sales development and successes; attend conferences to maximize the customer experience; maintain current knowledge of market and competitive trends. Lead cross-functional teams to provide ideas and insights on new products, market trends and data analysis and develop and implement key strategic business plans from both a supply and sales perspective.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 10 years consumer or medical device experience required with at least 7 years of direct people leadership experience with demonstrated success for problem solving, creativity, P&L management, and motivating/guiding employees to meet division objectives. Optometry experience a plus.
+ Results-driven leader with strong judgment who has demonstrated creative problem solving through a proactive, action-oriented approach that supports a dynamic, engaged organizational culture
+ Success building effective relationships with ECPs and customers to become a trusted and respected partner.
+ Highly developed leadership skills, business acumen, and analytical skills with the ability to leverage complex data to forge effective sales plans.
+ Bachelors degree required. MBA or advanced degree in health-related field and/or life sciences or equivalent experience is desirable.
+ Proven success leading collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
+ Willing to travel up to50% domestic travel, including overnight travel.
+ Strong working knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and guidelines associated with leading in a regulated industry.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $300,000.00 and $360,000.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
